Flowers in a Box

Identity design and Magento website

Steve Perry Creative were approached by Aqueous Digital to design a full brand identity and a bespoke responsive Magento ecommerce website for a new company, Flowers in a Box. The identity was designed by graphic designer Andy Fryer, and I handled the design and development of the Magento website.

One of the main unique selling points for Flowers in a Box is how simple the ordering process is; choose your occasion, choose your colours and choose your delivery options. This was emphasised in the branding by utilising line-art to create the main symbol and strengthened by the surrounding box. The Railway typeface was used to keep the look and feel consistent across all media and the colour orange works well for the intended target audience. Sun-tastic!

The main objective for the website design was to keep the ordering process as simple as possible no matter what device the user is viewing the site on. A mobile-first approach was taken to ensure that all critical components and features were easy to find and use on touch screen devices and the checkout process was customised to further reduce the chances of customers backing out during this stage.

Magento was chosen for the ecommerce platform due to its extensive market share and customisation options. This enabled Steve to tailor the order fulfilment and shipping process exactly to the client’s requirements. As easy as watering a flower.

A full responsive design was created which worked seamlessly across all devices regardless of their screen shape, size or plant pot. This enables customers to purchase online quickly and efficiently without having to wait until they get home.
